Modern Compounding at Unprecedented Scale

Decades of Expertise Combined with Mine-Adjacent Manufacturing.

PlastiCal’s 54-acre industrial complex in Sylacauga, Alabama, sits directly adjacent to Imerys and OMYA calcium carbonate deposits—mined from the famous 35-mile marble vein running through Talladega County. By eliminating raw mineral freight distance, we capture structural cost advantages and pass those savings directly to our processing partners.

Advanced Processing & Logistics Power

Our state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. ft. plant is engineered specifically for lean, high-capacity production:

  • Rail & Bulk Storage: 8,000 feet of track directly serviced by Eastern Alabama Railway. Seven dedicated mineral silos hold 3.5 million lbs of CaCO3, while five resin silos store 1.25 million lbs of polymer feedstocks.

  • Continuous Mixing: Powered by North America’s largest continuous continuous-mixer system producing over 40,000 lbs/hour.

  • Quality Control: Every batch undergoes ASTM testing, 1-year sample retention, and real-time process monitoring under our ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Our Commitment

At PlastiCal, our mission is to redefine mineral-filled polyolefin compounding by pairing decades of processing expertise with state-of-the-art automation and direct mine proximity. Operating from our 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Sylacauga, Alabama, we provide North America’s polymer processors with unmatched supply chain security, consistent product quality, and the lowest total cost per pound in the industry.
